PODCAST PART 2

Since I was planning for a lesson that is "out of my field", I decided to try a different look and use a Google Docs Lesson Plan Template. As always, the form was easy to use and easy to publish. LESSON PLAN

This activity sheet presents the students with three ethical dilemmas and they have to decide how to respond. I read over this sheet on my podcast before asking the students to read it again and fill it out. ACTIVITY SHEET

I used Rubistar to make by assessment rubric for the Podcast assignment. I tried to take the rubric used for this class and make it more high school age friendly. ASSESSMENT

PODCAST

I have always wondered how to do a podcast and now I know! I downloaded Audacity and I had some trouble at first. I tried to start on my own but quickly decided to download the "how to" tutorials and then I was on my way. I was unable to publish on podbean (from my home computer and from school with a T1 Line) so I used the FTP site at Fairmont State. This project turned out to be easier than I had anticipated and my voice didn't sound as bad as I had feared. --- My PODCAST

I used Google Docs to publish my script. I really like how I can save things wherever I am and access them later. SCRIPT

Movie Maker

This project was easy and a lot of fun. I am so thankful to have a new computer - it really guides me through most everything. I am trying to start up a new FBLA chapter in a school that has not been a member for 5 years. This video details everything about the organization and putting it into Movie Maker made it more attractive to watch. I completed the project and then while waiting for Teacher Tube to approve it, I forgot about it - that is why this is kind of out of place in regards to the course activities list. FBLA

Embedded Form

I had a hard time getting this to embedded without showing the whole thing! I am going to have my high school students go on line and fill this out. They will think its fun! FORM

Google Forms

As a Business Education teacher, I remember making forms with check boxes, etc. in Access. This was so much easier! I was confused at first about how to arrange the information but the help feature was very detailed. This FORM would be a great way to keep track of my completers.

Assessment Rubric

A lot of the projects my students do are more performance based. This type of rubric will be a great way to assess them. I like the fact that the rubric can be easily altered to fit different types of projects. RUBRIC

Jeopardy

WOW! Glad to have this behind me - At least every time something takes a while to figure out, I am left with a lot of new knowledge and ideas. I used this game years ago while doing my student teaching but somehow forgot about it. My students are going to love playing this!
